  1. Shalom Hanan,

If I may reference ynet news article 'The West is clueless'

'The headline in Yedioth Ahronoth after the murder boiled the story down to this: Human Animals. Because, presumably, only wild animals murder sleeping babies in the arms of their fathers and slink back off into the night.

The problem, of course, is twofold: First, very few animals outside of Disney movies behave with any dark motivation outside of simple survival. As such, this comparison, as was noted by one speaker at the Fogel funerals, is not entirely fair to animals. The poor sharks and lions only want a meal. They are not out to eradicate the seals and the antelope.'

Therein lies the dilemma. These Terrorists have turned off every compassion and/or humanity in their being. Essentially, Serial Killer Sociopath mentally. What I refer to as a 'Supernatural Hatred' for Jews. Best described by a Malay word 'Amuk'(Mad with uncontrollable rage) later used by the British to describe to run-a-muck, or murder indiscriminately.

  2. Salam Hanan,

Based on our conversation before, this is additional article that you should read to say that Islam does not promote terrorism. This is correspond to my point to you before. That verse 2:190-193 is explained in details in the article below:

Question: Aren't there some verses of the Qur'an that condone "killing the infidel"?
Answer: The Qur'an commands Muslims to stick up for themselves in a defensive battle -- i.e. if an enemy army attacks, then Muslims are to fight against that army until they stop their aggression. All of the verses that speak about fighting/war in the Qur'an are in this context.
There are some specific verses that are very often "snipped" out of context, either by critics of Islam discussing "jihadism," or by misguided Muslims themselves who wish to justify their aggressive tactics.

"Slay Them" - If They Attack You First

For example, one verse (in its snipped version) reads: "slay them wherever you catch them" (Qur'an 2:191). But who is this referring to? Who are "they" that this verse discusses? The preceding and following verses give the correct context:
"Fight in the cause of God those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for God loves not transgressors. And slay them wherever you catch them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter... But if they cease, God is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful... If they cease, let there be no hostility except to those who practice oppression" (2:190-193).

  3. It is clear from the context that these verses are discussing a defensive war, when a Muslim community is attacked without reason, oppressed and prevented from practicing their faith. In these circumstances, permission is given to fight back -- but even then Muslims are instructed not to transgress limits, and to cease fighting as soon as the attacker gives up. Even in these circumstances, Muslim are only to fight directly against those who are attacking them, not innocent bystanders or non-combatants.

"Fight the Pagans" - If They Break Treaties

A similar verse can be found in chapter 9, verse 5 -- which in its snipped, out of context version could read: "fight and slay the pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war)." Again, the preceding and following verses give the context.
This verse was revealed during a historical period when the small Muslim community had entered into treaties with neighboring tribes (Jewish, Christian, and pagan). Several of the pagan tribes had violated the terms of their treaty, secretly aiding an enemy attack against the Muslim community. The verse directly before this one instructs the Muslims to continue to honor treaties with anyone who has not since betrayed them, because fulfilling agreements is considered a righteous action. Then the verse continues, that those who have violated the terms of the treaty have declared war, so fight them... (as quoted above).

Directly after this permission to fight, the same verse continues, "but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practice regular charity, then open the way for them... for God is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful." The subsequent verses instruct the Muslims to grant asylum to any member of the pagan tribe/army who asks for it, and again reminds that "as long as these stand true to you, stand ye true to them: for God loves the righteous."

    Conclusion

Any verse that is quoted out of context misses the whole point of the message of the Qur'an. Nowhere in the Qur'an can be found support for indiscriminate slaughter, the killing of non-combatants, or murder of innocent persons in 'payback' for another people's alleged crimes.
The Islamic teachings on this subject can be summed up in the following verses (Qur'an 60:7-8):

"It may be that God will grant love (and friendship) between you and those whom ye (now) hold as enemies. For God has power (over all things), and God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

God does not forbid you, with regard to those who fight you not for (your) faith nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them: for God loves those who are just."

  5. Dear Anonymous.

What is the war of the 4 months old baby girl? Was she a soldier?
The family was sleeping in bed when they were stubbed with the knives to death by Palestinian terrorists (apparently Muslims).
Where are those Muslims, the moderate Muslims, even like in your own country who rush to condemn Israel for crimes against humanity, to condemn those Muslim butchers slaughtering "humanly" a Jewish family just because they are Jews.
Not all Muslims are terrorists, but most of the terrorists are Muslims nowadays. I wonder why? Do you have the answer?

  6. Shalom Hanan,

    Per Anonymous remarks.

Islam may not promote terrorism but Islamists have interpreted Al-Quran as such and acts of terrorism continue to grow. When Muslims feel they are persecuted and unfairly labeled as terrorists. It is because they have turned a 'blind eye' and deep down in their psyche 'Moderate Peace Loving Muslims' are in conflict. It is commonly known as 'cognitive dissonance'. They have unconsciously justified the actions of these Terrorists by the Koranic verses that refer to 'slaying the enemy'. The common explanation given is the 'self defense and the infidel should repent' argument. Allow me to shift the Paradigm. Why is it always the fault of the infidel? Why is the enemy always the the 'Yehudi' or 'Worshipers of the Cross' per Koranic verses.

It is because the 'Prophet' was in direct conflict with these cultures. To add to the dissimilation (Al-Takiya) he told his followers that Al-Kitab and the Torah were distorted. Why don't Muslims read the Torah and Al-Kitab for themselves and decide. Maybe some of Jesus's words would permeate into their hearts.

    Luke 6:27
"But to you who are willing to listen, I say,
love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you.

    Matthew 5:44
But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for
    those who persecute you

    Luke 6:35
But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.

and if you really want to punish and put your enemy to shame

    Romans 12:20
On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head."
